Porsche PIWIS 3 is the cutting-edge third-generation diagnostic software tailored specifically for Porsche vehicles. With comprehensive coverage, PIWIS 3 extends support to the latest Porsche models, including the Panamera 971, Cayenne 9Y0, and Cayman 981 GT4 Clubsport, which were previously unsupported by its predecessor, PIWIS 2. As PIWIS 2's support has been discontinued, PIWIS 3 emerges as the indispensable solution for diagnosing and servicing these newer models.

Now available as a PIWIS 3 VMware image or native installation, this setup supports both VAS 6154 clone interfaces and J2534 Passthru VCIs (limited compatibility). The included SSD image contains pre-configured V42.950 + V38.250 software versions with full engineering access and unlimited license activation, no internet required.

  • Important: your Windows system will be completely formatted during the native installation process, so make sure to back up your data before

This assembly has two versions of the program installed

1. Porsche PIWIS3 42.950, with open engineer mode (V/E), unlimited license, and additional updates.
2. Porsche PIWIS3 38.250 is a full engineering version of the program, featuring V/E/P operating modes, including support for the Taycan. Unlimited license.
   Switching between the 42.200 and 38.250 PIWIS3 versions occurs directly from the user interface. No reboot required.

For VAS6154 clone users

The firmware must be at version 1.6.6 and have a valid license (2030).

For PIWIS 3 users utilizing J2534 Passthru devices

Please be aware that not all J2534 VCIs are fully compatible with PIWIS 3. However, we are dedicated to ensuring your J2534 device pairs successfully with the PIWIS 3 software.
